“Georgian-European Higher Education Institution” (GEU) a higher educational establishment founded by foreign and Georgian partners. It is located in the center of Tbilisi, the capital of Georgia and provides a high level academic environment meeting all internationally recognized safety standards. GEU executes Georgian as well as English language-based study programs. Our students enjoy the opportunity of taking one semester-long (or more) course of studies in Germany (Duale Hochschule Baden Wurttemberg/DHBW –Karlsruhe). Besides the above mentioned there is an Agreement between Alcala (University of Alcalá), Poland (Jagiellonian University in Krakow) and Ukraine (Open International University of Human Development “Ukraine”) Universities on the mobility of GEU students as well as academic personnel.
Also there is an International Relations Department functioning in GEU, which: organizes participation of GEU students as well as academic staff in the international conferences and trainings; leads the process of selection of candidates for participation in the mobility programs; provides admittance of foreign students/personnel; issues all necessary information; holds consultations; facilitates the integration into the academic processes and provides assistance in choosing the optimal and the best suited accommodation.

MISSION
GEU is a higher education institution founded by Georgian and foreign partners whose main purpose is to create and implement bachelor programs, as well as vocational programs and other education programs allowed by legislation.
The aim of the institution is to satisfy high demand of society for competitive labor-market oriented education, through preserving Georgian educational traditions and sharing-implementing European education.
GEU’s mission – “Create market-oriented educational programs according to public interests and European experience, care for decent study conditions and enhance study quality, instill internationalization in education sphere, develop study partnerships, facilitate free movement of students and academic/training stuff.
GEU is committed to constantly review and update its mission, to ensure compliance with the challenges of state, society and changing requirements of labor market.

AUTHORIZATION
Authorisation is the instrument for external evaluation of compatibility of an institution with standards, certifying internal (self) evaluation. Authorisation is obligatory for all types of educational institutions in order to carry out educational activities and to issue an educational document approved by the state. Authorisation is given for 5 years.

a) Educational programmes;
b) Material resources;
c) Human resources.

Georgian-European Higher Education Institution “GEU” (former Georgian-European Academy) is authorized by the decision №6 01.06.2013 of National Center for Educational Quality Enhancement.
“GEU” implements bachelor (first level of higher education) educational programmes and is also authorized to implement educational programmes of all levels.
Georgian-European Higher Education Institution’s registration number is 178.

ACCREDITATION
Accreditation is a type of external evaluation mechanism, which determines the compatibility of an educational programme with standards. State funding goes only to accredited programs.
Accreditation standards
The accreditation shall aim at the establishment of regular self-evaluation of educational institutions for the improvement of educational quality and promotion of the development of quality assurance mechanisms through the establishment of the compatibility of an educational programme of an educational institution with the following accreditation standards:

• The goals of an educational programme, learning outcomes and the compatibility of the programme with them;
• Methodology and organization of teaching, adequacy of the assessment of programme mastering;
• Student Performance, Individual Work with Them;
• Provision with teaching resources;
• Potential to further enhance the educational quality.

By the decision, №80 of National Center for Educational Quality Enhancement made on 08.04.2014 bachelor programme of Tourism of Georgian-European Higher Education Institution was granted with accreditation.
By the decision, №81 of National Center for Educational Quality Enhancement made on 08.04.2014 bachelor programme of Business Administration of Georgian-European Higher Education Institution was granted with accreditation.
